Some arrive with a topic that will not click. Some arrive with an idea that needs writing up. The first gets one session, built around that student and paid for on its own. The second gets a mentor with a doctorate, and a finished article that can go to your school’s journal, to ours, or to both.

Pick your pain point
Name the exact thing that is not landing. Fractions, photosynthesis, the past tense. The narrower it is, the more we can do in one sitting, and the session is planned around you and that one thing.

The finished article can go to your school's own journal or magazine, to the Atom & Ink journal, or to both. We mentor the writing and leave the school's side to the school.
Mentors with doctorates
Every student works with a researcher holding a PhD in a relevant field, not a general tutor. A mentor will not write your paper.
Real editorial review
When the argument holds, the paper goes to a separate reader who has not seen it before. Not a rubber stamp.
Consent handled properly
Names, photographs and school names stay hidden unless a guardian has consented to that specific item, in writing. The database enforces it.

What is the Concept Clinic?
One session on one topic. You name the thing that is not landing, whether that is fractions, photosynthesis or the past tense, and you work through it with someone who knows the subject properly until you can explain it back. There is no course to enrol in and nothing to keep paying for afterwards.
Do I have to sign up for regular tuition?
No. That is the point of it. A micro-session is booked for one topic and ends when the topic is clear. If another one comes up later, book another one. If it does not, you are done.
Do I pay per session, or for a package?
Per session. You book one session for one topic and pay for that one session, with no package, term fee or enrolment behind it. The fee itself is on request: ask when you book, and there is nothing to pay to ask.
Who can submit a paper to Atom & Ink?
School students, roughly grades 6 to 12. You need a referring adult: a school, a teacher, a parent or a tuition mentor. No prior research experience, laboratory or worked-out topic is required.
Can the article go to my school's own journal or magazine?
Yes. A mentor with a doctorate works on the writing with you, and the finished article can go to your school's journal or magazine, to the Atom & Ink journal, or to both. We mentor the writing; sending it to the school and working with its editors stays between you and your school.
What kinds of paper does Atom & Ink publish?
Three: a New Concept Paper of 1,500 to 2,500 words where a student argues an idea of their own, a Review Paper of 2,000 to 3,000 words reporting what a field currently knows, and a Perspective or Opinion Piece of 800 to 1,500 words taking a position on something contested.
Can students use AI tools to write their paper?
Use an AI tool to check grammar or explain a concept, the same way you would use a dictionary or a tutor. Do not use one to produce your argument or your prose. Disclose any AI assistance to your mentor before publication.
How does Atom & Ink protect student privacy?
By default a published paper shows a shortened name only, for example Aarav S. A full name, photograph or school name appears only where a parent or guardian has given written consent for that specific item. This is enforced in the database, not just in process, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.
